Welcome to the Montana Pro Rodeo Hall and Wall of Fame
Map to the Monument at MetraPark
The Montana Pro Rodeo Hall and Wall of Fame ... a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring the Montana professional rodeo cowboys and cowgirls who exemplify our rich western heritage. The initial project was the creation of the Montana Pro Rodeo Hall and Wall of Fame Monument Site with the focal point being an 18' bronze sculpture of ProRodeo Saddle Bronc Rider Dan Mortensen. In 2003, Dan won his sixth saddle bronc championship, tying the 44 year old record of Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame cowboy Casey Tibbs. Dan also won the PRCA World Championship All-Around in 1997. In December, 2008, Dan officially announced that he was retiring. More information about Dan's retirement can be found at the following link: "Rodeo great Mortensen Called it Quits in Hall of Fame Fashion".
It was also announced in early April 2009 that Dan will be inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame ceremonies will be July 9-11 in Colorado Springs. Read more about this achievement in the Billings Gazette article Hall of Fame ride awaits Mortensen.
