Montana Pro Rodeo Hall and Wall of Fame in Billings, MT

Cowboy HatAbout Us

The Montana Pro Rodeo Hall and Wall of Fame is a non-profit Montana 501(c)(3) corporation*. It is dedicated to honoring Montana professional rodeo cowboys and cowgirls who exemplify our Montana western heritage. This is done through the maintenance of a monument site located near the entrance to the MetraPark Arena in Billings, Montana. The monument site includes an 18' bronze sculpture of six-time World Champion bronc rider Dan Mortensen and brick and granite walls which name Montana's professional rodeo champions, legends, queens and personnel.

The "Montana Pro Rodeo Hall and Wall of Fame Scholarship Fund" was established to benefit Montana youth who participate in high school rodeo and wish to further their education. These scholarships are primarily funded by the sale of replica bronzes, contributions, and proceeds from the Annual Cowboy & Cowgirl Reunion and Scholarship fundraiser, held the last Saturday in January. Check the Scholarship and Events links for more information.

To date, the The Montana Pro Rodeo Hall and Wall of Fame has awarded a total of $183,000 in scholarship money over the past five years. The first fundraiser netted sufficient funds to provide ten $3,000 scholarships. The second and third fundraisers were even more successful, providing twelve $3,000 scholarships each year. More information on this program is available at the Scholarship link. See our News Updates and Events link information on the next fundraiser. Miss Rodeo Montana receives a $2000 scholarship and $1000 is awarded to the Montana High School Rodeo queen.
